Vintage Hardy 3 7/8″ Perfect fly reel made for Dame Stoddard Co. in Boston, Mass.
1922-1927 era with leaded finish and smooth brass reel foot. Foot is full length, but one end was filed on the sides to narrow the foot.
Ebonite crank handle. Adj Drag. Dup MkII stamping on crank side. Spare spring is present, but spare pawl is missing.
Reel has some corrosion pitting you can see on the spool side.
“Made For Dame Stoddard Co. Boston, Mass.” on riveted plate inside crank side plate.
Fully functional reel is “perfect” to use for Atlantic Salmon or Steelhead.
